For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
The format used for a numerical field in a report is taken from the results table itself if the format is not set in the report template. In the example below, the Format field in the tag from a report template was left blank, indicating that no format was selected for the numerical values that appear for this tag. By default, the numbers will be formatted in the report as they appear in the results table.
If certain number of decimal places are required for a value in a report, it is best to set the format in the report template instead of in the results table. Reporter allows users to set the format to 4 decimal places. If using scientific notation, then up to 3 decimal places can be set under the format.
If the desired format is not available, then leave the format field empty in the tag. In the SCIEX OS software results table, the number format can be set for individual columns in the Results Table Display Settings options. Find the column of interest, and then in the Number Format field, select or type the number form desired. Make sure to save as project default settings for it to consistently report this column the same format for future reports.
