Issue Description
At times, an analyte's MRM transitions will need to be removed from a MultiQuant™ software method (.qmethod). Instructions for doing this are provided below:
Resolution
First, open MultiQuant software and select File and then Open Quantitation Method.
In the now-open quantitation method, highlight the unneeded analyte for removal (in this example, the two MRMs for Analyte 3 will be removed) by left clicking on the row. Then right click and select Delete Selected Rows.
Analyte 3 no longer appears in the MRM list. If the corresponding internal standard (IS) for Analyte 3 also needs to be removed, select the rows for MRMs associated with the IS in the same manner as the previous and choose Delete Selected Rows.
Once the MRM for the IS has been removed, ensure that none of the remaining analytes in the method refer to that IS. If another analyte was also linked to that particular IS (e.g., IS 3 for Analyte 4 MRM1 and MRM2), it is important to re-assign an applicable IS.
Once unwanted analytes have been removed, save the method using the File-Save As function.
