The steps required to reset the electronics on the X-series QTOF MS Systems (X500R and X500B) are described here.

1) Stop any data processing in the SCIEX OS Software and deactivate the hardware profile.
2) Stop the services for SCIEX OS Software (Clearcore2 Service).
3) Power down the mass spectrometer using the convenience switch (marked as 11) for 10 sec and then turn it back on.
4) Restart the services and reactivate the hardware profiles.
