Analyst® Software Error: Failed to Write Method to Datafile Caused by Symantic Antivirus

The Analyst® software error "Failed to write method to data file" is caused by the antivirus program, Symantec Endpoint Protection, running simultaneously during acquisition. Disabling the Sonar technology on Symantec will prevent this error. To remove Symantec's Sonar technology, the software will need to be uninstalled and reinstalled using a specific installer that omits the Sonar portion from re-installing.
