Automating batch setup using Quick Batch in SCIEX OS software

Answer

The SCIEX OS software Batch workspace features a Quick Batch option for quickly and easily setting up a batch. The Quick Batch feature (highlighted below) enables users to automatically populate batch fields with information, including sample names, MS and LC methods, and vial and rack details.

(1)    In the Batch workspace, select New, and then select the Quick Batch option. 

(2)    Define the fields in Quick Batch as shown below in the Quick Batch window.

(3)    Enable the automatic report creation by selecting the checkbox next to Create a report automatically. Then select the report template to be used and the report format.

(4)    Select the Add Samples button. Ensure that Report Generation is enabled in the batch under the Batch Automation dropdown menu.
