Answer

To identify the name of a server or a PC, the Command Prompt screen must first be opened. In the Windows Start menu, select Run and type CMD (on Windows 7) or type CMD in the search screen in the lower left corner of Windows 10. The Command Prompt screen will appear, and then type the DOS command "hostname" without quotes. Hit enter, and then the name of the server or the PC will be displayed.
