Answer 

  1. Open an Administrator Command Shell window by typing ‘cmd’ into the search box of the start menu and then right click and select ‘Run as administrator’

  1. At the command prompt enter the following command ‘systeminfo | findstr “Locale”’ and press return. (note the ‘pipe’ | )

  1. The system will then run through some processing and then display your locale as follows.

  1. If the Command fails to run then your Locale is not en-US.
