Answer
If a user has the security role of supervisor in Analyst® software, then they can unlock the screen after a period of inactivity or logout of the application--but only if the Analyst security configuration is set to Mixed Mode. The screen lock and auto logout functions are only available in Mixed Mode, so if another security mode is selected (e.g., integrated or single), then supervisor will not be able to open Analyst software.
The role for each Analyst user can be set in the Configure mode under the Security Configuration option. If the user is given a role of supervisor, then one of the few operations that he/she is authorized to perform in Analyst software is to override the Screen Lock/Auto Logout functionality. The supervisor role user can type in his/her credentials to unlock the screen.
