How to merge Analyst Acquisition Methods

Answer

Use this script to add all experiment data from the methods to be merged to the base method. All methods should have only one period and one experiment.
In the Analyst header menu go to 'Scripts' and choose 'Merge MRM'
If you do not have 'Merge MRM' in your list it has to be installed in advance:
Navigate to the following folder on your workstation:
<drive>:\Program Files\Analyst\Scripts on Win 7 (32-bit)
<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Analyst\Scripts on Win 7 (64-bit)
Open the required script folder and then double-click ScriptRunner.exe.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the script.
As soon as Analyst ist started the script is available on the script menu (cf. 'Analyst Script Guide' ).

a Dialog-Pop-up-Window appears The 'Original Method' will be the frame for the new method therefore if a HPLC-method has already been set up choose this method as 'Original Method' (otherwise the HPLC conditions will get lost). Set a 'New Method' name and destination and add the additional methods which should be merged into the original one.
Optional, if all methods were created using Compound Optimization, select the 'Update MRM compound ID from the file name' check box to populate the compound ID column with the compound name in the merged method.
To add all the mass ranges from the selected methods, click 'GO'.
The newly created method won't open immediately but can now be opened manually via 'Acquire - Open File'.
