Resolving a Shimadzu LC Fatal Error: Could Not Activate Profile in Analyst® Software

Issue Description

The LC/MS hardware profile containing a Shimadzu LC could not be activated in Analyst® software. Even after building a new hardware profile from scratch, the hardware profile could still not be activated.


Resolution

Under the Configuration tab for the Shimadzu system controller (CBM), the serial port filed was selected and changed to TCP/IP. The IP address 192.168.200.99 was added. Autoconfigure was selected, and then the hardware configuration was able to be activated.
