To add the calculated concentrations for vitamin D2 and D3 together and calculate the total vitamin D, a custom calculation in SCIEX OS software will need to be created in the processing method in the Analytics mode. Either open the existing method or edit the embedded method of a results table in order to access the Calculated Columns tab in the processing method and then select the Add Formula button. Enter the calculations as follows:

1. In the formula box, type GET([Calculated Concentration];'25-OH-VitD2 Quant') and hit return.



2. Then type GET([Calculated Concentration];'25-OH-VitD3 Quant') in the formula box and hit return.



3. In the Formula name field enter Total VitD and then enter [25-OH-VitD2 Quant Conc]+[25-OH-VitD3 Quant Conc]



The calculation will add custom column named Total VitD to the results table and provide a sum of the values for the calculated concentrations for vitamin D2 and D3.
