Queries (files with the extension .query) can be linked to the report templates used with SCIEX OS or MultiQuant™ Software results tables if more complicated calculations or sorting functions are required for the report output. There are several ways to open a report template query:

1. Navigate to the report template folder. (For MultiQuant Software, the report templates are found in the directory located at C:\ProgramData\AB SCIEX\MultiQuant\Reporter; for SCIEX OS Software, C:\ProgramData\SCIEX|\SCIEX OS\Analytics\Reporter.) Select the query by right clicking on the icon, and then select Open With and choose Excel. Then select Always use this app to open .query files. Selecting the program with which to open a query should only have to be done once. The next time a query file is opened, double clicking on the file name will open the query in Excel. 

2. Open Excel. Go to File > Open > Navigate to the reporter folder > Show All Files > Choose the query > Click Open. 

3. Open blank workbook in Excel. Navigate to the reporter folder. Select the query that you are interested. Drag and drop it in Excel. Select Yes when the warning message appears.
