Clearing an Integrated Syringe Pump Error in Analyst® Software

Issue Description

While using the integrated syringe in manual tune mode, an error message appears in Analyst® software: "The current sample cannot be run because the syringe pump has reached the end of its travel. To solve this problem please refill the syringe, press "Clear Error" and resubmit the sample".

Resolution

A) To resolve this error with the syringe pump, start with these steps:
1) Move the syringe holder back, press Clear Error and resubmit the sample.
2) Try replacing the syringe, then press Clear Error and resubmit the sample.
3) Reset the mass spectrometer by following the power cycle steps here . 
4) Try running the integrated syringe driver with no syringe in place. If the syringe driver fails again, place a service call.

These steps can help resolve another, separate syringe error as well (as noted in this article).
